When a child is diagnosed with Kawasaki disease it can be a very confusing and stressful experience for their family. Kawasaki Disease Canada can help families facing Kawasaki disease by matching them with trained support volunteers. Many of our support volunteers are parents of children who have had Kawasaki disease and are able to provide support based on their own personal experiences. Our support volunteers do not provide medical advice, but do provide a confidential, supportive environment for families to express themselves and speak openly about their experience and concerns.
If you would like to be matched with one of our support volunteers or are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact us.
